Bit89 Inc. is the owner of Bit89.com, the maker (and possibly) the owner of various advertising supported monitization software plugins used by companies such as PerformerSoft LLC, the maker of the PC Performer. Bit89 makes an adware and potentially unwanted plugin known as Browser Manager and or Application Manager which is a web browser toolbar/add-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. The plugin system consists of a hooker module that is loaded into the bundled application as well as a stand alone process and in the case of Browser Manager, a Windows service. Bundled/hooked programs include eType Application by DSNR, 7-Zip bundled application as well as others.

Bit89 Inc. is owned and operated by Felix Leshno of Web Monsters LTD, an affiliate marketing firm, as well as CMO at PerformerSoft. PerformerSoft, which bundles the Browser Manager components. Bit89 Inc. is also registered to the same account as the following domains, all associated with the PerformerSoft line of products such as appround.us, appround.net, appround.com, vax9.com (which markets itself as an antivirus program), fasterbetterpc.com, driverperformer.com and of course performersoft.com. Bit89 is also associated with another adware bundling install manager called InstallBrain (bundlers of Babylon Toolbar, Searchcore Toolbar, DealFinder, Findamo and PriceGoing) as well SpecialSavings.
